The new greener 160.3cc air and oil-cooled motor now gets fuel injection, delivering 17.2PS at 9,000rpm and 14.6Nm at 7250rpm. For reference, the BS4 Pulsar NS160 made 15.5PS at 8500rpm and 14.6Nm at 6500rpm. While power is up by 1.7PS, torque output remains the same. The new motor, however, generates peak power and torque at a higher rpm than before. The updated motorcycle gets a 5-speed gearbox as well.
The Pulsar NS160 BS6 gets the same perimeter frame as before. Suspension duties are handled by conventional telescopic forks and an adjustable mono-shock. Its braking setup consists of a single 260mm petal disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear. The NS160 gets single-channel ABS. The bike’s 17-inch alloys are shod with 90/90-section front and 120/80-section rear tires.
