With the release of the Bear 650, Royal Enfield added another middleweight for its range. To make it a scrambler, the bike takes a lot of its design from the Interceptor 650 and makes a few changes to it. These five things are important to know if you want to buy one.
There are some cosmetic differences between the Royal Enfield Bear 650 and the Interceptor 650, even though they both ride on the same base. While both bikes have round LED headlights, fuel tanks, and similar general looks, the Bear’s colour scheme is more fun and young. The right side has an oval screen that looks like a scrambler. It also has an only one-sided two-in-one exhaust setup. Besides that, it uses LED lights from 450cc Royal Enfield bikes.
The Bear 650 from Royal Enfield comes with an LED headlight and a fully automated single-pod indicator panel. It’s taken from the Himalayan 450 and also lets you connect your smartphone. When you take the Bear 650 off-road, Royal Enfield also made a switch that you can use to turn off the back ABS.
Same 650cc twin-cylinder oil-cooled engine that makes 47bhp and 57Nm powers the Royal Enfield Bear 650. Due to its new exhaust system, the Bear, according to Royal Enfield, makes 5bhp more power than its brothers. Six-speed engine is connected to it.
Along with the strengthened frame, Royal Enfield has also made changes to the Bear 650, such as adding USD front shocks and back springs that are not gas-charged. For stopping, it has single discs on both ends that are equipped with ABS. The front wheels are 19 inches and the back wheels are 17 inches. They have spokes and MRF Nylorex tires on them.
The Royal Enfield Bear 650 is for sale for Rs. 3.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), and it comes in five colours: Black Walk, Petrol Green, White Honey, Golden Shadow, and Two Four Nine.
