In India, Suzuki has released the GSX-8R, a middle-weight sportbike that costs Rs. 9.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorbike will come in two colors: black and silver. Motorcycles like the Triumph Daytona 660, Kawasaki Ninja 650, and Aprilia RS660 are competitors.

With small, vertically-stacked LED light and sleek air intakes on either side, the GSX-8R represents Suzuki’s modern style. The angular side fairings and the powerful fuel tank go well together, and the bodywork ends in a short, pointed tail. As for features, it comes with ride-by-wire, low rpm assist, traction control, a bi-directional quickshifter, ride modes, ABS, and an easy start.

The diamond-shaped steel frame holds a 776cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine with a 270-degree crank that makes 81.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 78Nm of peak torque at 6,800rpm. It has a six-speed transmission with an assist and slipper clutch. It comes with 17-inch cast aluminum wheels that are wrapped in Dunlop RoadSport 2 tires and Showa SFF-BP springs and a linked rear shock for suspension. Pair of 310mm front discs and a single 240mm back disc stop the bike. The bike weighs 205 kg (kerb), and the fuel tank holds 14 liters.
